The European Action Coalition for the Right to Housing and the City (EAC) launches a series of videos on Social Housing in Europe, with the purpose of knowledge-sharing.

In the first video we look at history and see how public and social housing in Europe has developed since the end of the Second World War up to today.

** The EAC acknowledges that access to adequate and affordable housing should be provided for all. Nevertheless, it also recognizes that our societies are characterized by deep inequalities. Therefore, here we are paying attention to the prioritization of low-income people in what regards their access to housing.
** The EAC acknowledges that the solution to housing crises requires the development of a housing stock, which is protected from the impact of market and financialization. We also recognize that there are many possible ways for doing this. Nevertheless, here we are focusing only on social and public housing.
